On April 1, 2024, the NRC issued a notice of violation to Nebraska Public Power District (licensee) for a Severity Level (SL) III violation at Cooper Nuclear Station. The SL III violation involved the licensee’s failure to notify the Region IV Regional Administrator within 30 days of learning of a change in the medical condition of two licensed operators as required by Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations 50.74.
